Medical Mystery

“I am sorry, we just don’t know…”

“There’s nothing we can do…”

“We cannot explain your condition…”

Scary words coming from doctors, from the ones you trust will heal you

I still trust that they will heal me, eventually

But until then, I am called the “Medical Mystery”

No one wants to be given such a title, a title so uncertain

Vial after vial of blood, test after test

You’d think they would have answers by now

But until they do

I will wait patiently for the day I receive an official diagnosis

An official treatment

And an official promise, that the life I once lived

Would soon return
